Can
I get my LifeBook repaired in Japan? And how long is the warranty
period for my LifeBook?

Depending on the model and where
you bought it, it might be out of International Limited warranty.

If my product
is under warranty, can I use the repair service free of charge?
|

The warranty may not cover the repair
or some charges will arise if the reported problem has been caused
by defects or damages from casualty, accident, transportation,
misuse or abuse, neglect, alterations, service or repair by a company
other than Fujitsu or Fujitsu affiliates, improper installation,
operation or maintenance, improper connections with peripherals,
or other causes not arising out of defects in materials or workmanship.

Is the operating
system installed after the HDD is repaired?

Installation of the operating system
needs to be done by the customer. The HDD sent back to you will
be empty. You need to configure the unit back to the original state
of purchase yourself by using your Recovery CD or Driver CD.

Unfortunately, we don't offer any software
installation service.

How long does it take to get my
LifeBook repaired?

The service and turnaround time depends
on the country and the product. Generally, the turnaround period
from the time the unit is received at the repair center, and the
time it is shipped out will be around 7 days, but may be delayed
if parts have to be obtained from abroad.

The registration procedure varies according
to the company that you bought your PC from.

There are five ways to register your LifeBook.
1. Electronically through the Fujitsu Welcome center icon on your
desktop (not included on Refurbished products)
2. Fax your completed application to: 1-949-450-9140
3. Call Fujitsu at; 1-800-8FUJITSU (1-800-838-5487)
4. mail the application form in the prepaid envelope included in
your notebook box
5. online through the Fujitsu Computer Systems Support Site/Product

You can register your LifeBook by filling in the warranty card provided

You can register your unit by filling in the warranty card provided
with the unit during purchase and mailing the warranty card. If you

Who pays the fees for
shipping my LifeBook to the repair center?

International Limited Warranty pay a one-way charge to the repair
center if shipping is required (some exceptions may apply).

How can I confirm the part number
and serial number of my LifeBook?

Please look at the underside of your
LifeBook notebook. You will find a label on the underside showing
a part number starting with P/N and a serial number starting with
S/N.

Do I need anything to use my LifeBook
safely abroad?
|

If the label on your AC adapter states "Input
100-240V", you only need the power plugs for your AC adapter
to be connected to the power source. If not, you may need an electric
transformer to operate your PC safely. You also need telephone
jacks used in the country to connect your modem with the telephone
line.
